The order flow for Trademark Watch is designed to guide you through each step, ensuring that your brand is effectively monitored for trademark conflicts. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of the process:
Step 1 - Select a Workspace
In this first step, you'll choose the workspace where your trademark watch will be managed.

- Why it’s important: Selecting the right workspace ensures that the watch is connected to the correct team or project for managing findings and taking action.
Step 2 - Select 'What' to Watch

This step is crucial. Here, you'll decide whether you want to watch a wordmark (text) or a figurative mark (logo). It’s also here, where you determine ‘what’ you want to find similar applications of.
Wordmark Watch: Detects similar words or phrases Figurative Watch: Detects similar logos.
- Why it’s important: The ‘what’ you choose will define the scope of the watch, determining which applications are flagged as potential conflicts.
Step 3 - Relate Relevant Trademarks

In this step, you will link any relevant trademarks from your portfolio to the watch. These related trademarks are essential downstream as they help refine and filter the findings generated by the system.
- Why it’s important: Relating the right trademarks ensures that only relevant potential conflicts are flagged. Make sure to relate only the trademarks that are connected to the 'what' you selected in Step 2.
Step 4 - Add Watch Filters

This is where you refine your watch by selecting jurisdictions and NICE classes. All jurisdictions and all 45 NICE classes are available, but the default configuration is a global watch on all classes among your related IP records.
- Additional Filters: You can exclude hits that contain your brand name or legal representative's name to avoid irrelevant findings.
- Why it’s important: Adding filters ensures that your watch focuses on the most relevant areas, reducing noise and improving the accuracy of results.
Step 5 - Review and Place Order
The final step is the Summary Page, where you review all your previous selections. Double-check that your workspace, watch target, related trademarks, and filters are correct before proceeding.
- Assign a Responsible: On this page, you can also assign a responsible. This user will receive notifications for new hits.

- Why it’s important: The summary page provides a final chance to review everything before confirming the watch, ensuring accuracy and assigning the right people to receive alerts.
What’s Next?
Now that you’ve seen how to order a Trademark Watch, you’re ready to start monitoring. Once your watch is ordered, the system will begin scanning for potential conflicts, and you’ll receive weekly alerts as relevant applications are detected.
- Reviewing Alerts: Don’t forget to regularly check your notifications for any hits that need your attention.
- Taking Action: If a conflict is found, you can create an opposition directly from the alert in RightHub.
