Tracking time spent on IP activities

Learn how to track time spent on IP activities

RightHub allows you to efficiently track time spent on cases and run reports for accurate billing and reporting.

 

Logging time via the create button

Click the blue + Create button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

From here, you can start logging time and associate it with a specific case in the system.

Using the time tracking

Navigate to the time tracking section (1) on the left-hand navigation bar. Clicking on this option will display a list of all time tracked across every portfolio and record in the system. To log new time, click the log time button (2).

Logging time from an individual case record

Open an individual record in the system. Scroll to the end of the case record, where you'll find the time tracking tab (1). Click on the time tracking tab to access the time logging feature. To log new time, click the log time button (2).

Logging Time for a specific activity

To log time, simply click the button to log time. Select the type of activity you were working on. For example, you can choose Pre-filing as the activity type. Then, specify the specific task you're working on, such as discussing and preparing the application. You also have the option to log miscellaneous or other types of time if necessary.

Enter the amount of time spent on the activity. For instance, you might enter 1 hour.

Click Log Time to save your entry. The time will now be associated with the case.

 

Viewing logged time in a case

The logged time will appear in the overall case view (1). As you continue to log time, the total will update accordingly.

Running a Time Report

To view your logged time, you can go back to the Time Tracking section (2) in the left hand navigation. From here, you can run a report on your time entries by exporting (3) the data to Excel, just as you would with any other list in the system.
