The Review draft feature is targeted at In house IP Managers who typically order the drafting of patent applications. It can however of course also be used by the tech-savvy patent attorney who wants to review her or his own draft prior to sending it to a client for review or prior to filing. In order to do that start a new AI Analyst project and click “create” then upload the draft patent application that you want to review like so:
Once you click create, the draft patent application is then prepared for AI to read it and you will see this screen once it is ready:
In order to proceed click on the upwards arrow and select the “Review draft” command, here:
This will prompt you to enter the invention disclosure, which is optional. If you enter the invention disclosure the AI will read it and compare it to the draft patent application to double check if all items in the invention disclosure are covered in the draft patent application or if anything is missing. The other criteria are checked despite if you upload the invention disclosure or not as you can see in this screen video:
Please note that you need to apply a bit of patience once you initiate the review via AI, since there is a substantial amount of load on the AI to do the review of the draft thoroughly, so be patient or grab coffee while you are waiting. Give it a try and review a draft patent application within a few minutes!
