The AI Analyst is our combined solution for interviewing and talking to documents, preparing reports, Office Action responses, Oppositions or other just understanding complicated documents. The AI Analyst includes tagging of documents using # and also an AI Search function in case you need to explore beyond the document(s) present in the AI Analyst.

When using the AI Analyst it is possible to upload up to 10 documents here:
The documents can only be .docx, .pdf or mix of them.
When you upload the document(s) you will see this screen:
And then the loading part where the documents are OCR’d and further processed.
When ready, the screen looks like this and you can flip through the documents using the selector on the top right (red marking):
If you want to ask a specific question directed towards a document you may use the “#” for referencing to the document such as indicated here:

Also there is another function available in the chat, namely the opportunity to tag the AI Search using the “@” as indicated here:
The reason for having the @AI Search in the chatbot is because the question/answer machine is designed to only look in the actual document in order to avoid hallucinations. When you ask questions outside of the content of the documents the AI Analyst will not respond and will tell you to change your query, respectively. Thus in case you are looking at asking a question related to something general, for instance you want to know what Rule 71 (3) of the European Patent Convention (EPC) is about you can use the @AI Search feature in order to find facts and information about that specific topic. The AI Search is an AI-powered search engine that provides accurate, conversational, and verifiable answers to questions by searching the internet in real-time and summarizing information from reliable sources.
